Recent cyber incidents globally and at home have had local government’s reevaluating their cyber security plans. They’ve asked, ‘Are we prepared?,’ ‘what would we do if there was a cyber-attack?’ and importantly for local government, ‘what does our community expect of us?’ Unless you’re a cyber expert, it can feel overwhelming.
LGIS has worked closely with our members to develop two practical workshops to support local governments in improving their cyber security position.
Great Eastern – network and share ideas.
This event is an opportunity for IT and cyber professionals, alongside other cyber risk stakeholders to share knowledge and connect with each other. These sessions will also provide attendees with an understanding of cyber security and the language used, equipping local government staff to better ask for and evaluate proposals to provide cyber security services. Third-party providers who support members in the Great Eastern are also able to attend these intensive and hands-on session when invited by an LGIS member.
